Caves of Loltun

The caves of Loltun (of Maya "Stone Flower") Among the most important findings in Loltún is evidence of human settlement dating back to the Pleistocene are cave paintings (including human hands in negative, faces, animals and staggered greca patterns), pieces sculptural, Mayan tools and even bones of bison, mammoths and saber-toothed tiger; They are representing evidence of climatic changes that the area has been subjected.

Uxmal

Uxmal was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Along with Chichen Itza and Mayapan, it is one of the most important pre-Hispanic capitals of ancient Mayan culture in Mexico

Quadrangle of the Nuns

The decor is characterized by being of zoomorphic and geometrical. The south building has a lattice panel with representation of huts on which Chac masks are observed. He had eight rectangular framed doors with double lintel; Entries were eight rooms in line with the facade and all vaulted.

Governor's Palace

This beautiful building, said that occupied the king of Uxmal before the Soothsayer build his palace, has proportions and decoration that make it perhaps the best example of Mayan architecture. The same chronicler Fray Alonso Ponce called in 1558 a building "strange magnificence and greatness."
